Airports French Alps

Airports used to access the French Alps:

Chambery Airport: this winter airport offers lots of low cost routes. For winter 2009 13 cities in the UK and Ireland had regular flights to the Chambery Airport. Ski resorts within an hour and a half of the Chambery Airport are Courchevel, Megève, Les Contamines and Notre Dame de Bellecombe. I just name a few. The Chambery Airport is reachable from the A41 Motorway.

Geneva Airport: thanks to easyJet and other budget airlines the Geneva Airport offers a number of low cost routes to the UK, Ireland, Belgium and a number of other European countries. The Geneva Airport offers access to a number of ski area including Portes du Soleil (Avoriaz, Châtel, Morzine, Les Gets…), Évasion Mont-Blanc (Combloux, Megève, Saint-Gervais…), Grand Massif (Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon…) and Les Aravis (La Clusaz, Manigod, Croix Fry…). The Geneva Airport is accessible from the A40 Motorway and near the A41.

Grenoble Airport: for winter 2009 there were 21 routes to 16 cities in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Sweden. Airlines included Ryanair and easyJet. Ski resorts accessible from the Grenoble Airport include, L’Alpe d’Huez, Courchevel, Les Trois 3 vallées, Les Deux Alpes and Val d’Isère. The Grenoble Airport is near the A48 Motorway.

It’s also possible to access the French Alps from the Lyon, Marseille and Turin Airports.
